Unfortunately, we’ve all had to face companies that were rather deceitful, immoral or unethical. What I don’t understand is how they continue to exist.
Why is it that we don’t take control and actually do our best to spread the word and get them to clean their act or shut down? How is it that a company can claim to run an affiliate program and never pay the affiliates? What possesses a company to charge customers’ credit cards without consent or authorization?
Canaca-com Inc. is a website hosting company that unfortunately has put so many clients in distress. I have had to deal with these people on a number of occasions and to put things nicely, I’m quite disappointed.
I’m disappointed in their service and lack of company ethics! I’m disappointed that a company can actually operate fully aware that they are stealing hundreds of dollars from so many people. Make a simple search on “Canaca reviews” and you’ll be surprised by how many people have been wrongfully charged to their credit cards.
Why do the credit card companies even allow such companies to make a fool of their own clients? The sad part is that we, as clients, have become trusting and lazy as well. We believe that companies can’t and won’t behave unethically as they know they could be held liable.
Yet to our surprise, such companies are fully aware and just don’t care. Why? Simply due to the fact that most don’t bother to complain or report such companies to Better Business Bureau, because of $150!
Most get angry, send a few emails and then give up. Well here’s my plea with everyone, please don’t keep feeding such companies! Make sure you get your money back and complain to the Better Business Bureau.
Spend your money wisely and with ethical companies. Even if they’re a bit more expensive, it’s definitely worth your conscience and every penny!
Also keep your credit card numbers safe. Make a point to only pay by paypal so that companies don’t have your credit card numbers on file.
Buyers beware! Canaca is bad news!

I have experienced everything you said in here personally and am still in the process of trying to get anything accomplished with this company. They advertise a support number but when you call it it simply tells you so send them an email and only recently has it given you the option to have staff call you back, but this of course is only for what they deem an emergency. Loba, you are right, I am not going to give up, I will absolutely file a complaint with the better business bureau as soon as I can dig up all those old emails.
Whatever you do, do not use Canaca

Kevin, thank you for your feedback. I’m glad that you’re fighting them! They need to be fought and closed down. But we all know with scam artists like these ones, they can easily rise up again under a different company name so everyone needs to be made aware and people should demand to pay for such services by paypal so these scammers don’t have our credit cards to just charge as they please!

Just as I expected! Another website has risen out of the soon to be ashes! Canaca is the same as Acanac!!!!!! Remember that!!! It’s just Canaca read backwards. They just sent me an email about some domain expiry with an ad for their phone services linking to Acanac! In my book, if one’s a scammer, surely the other will be no better!!!! Buyers beware!

The fact that they are in Canada makes it harder for Americans to get something done about their theft. They charged me for hosting I was no longer getting, and I disputed it with my bank.
Fortunately, Canaca’s customer service is so bad that my bank couldn’t get any information from them, so I won my money back.

Cutaia,
Thank you for your feedback. I’m glad that all was resolved for you. It’s just a matter of time before people will realize that one or two dollars more per month with another company, will save so much headache and hassle.
I am in a similar situation currently and although I live in Canada, nothing has been resolved any easier. In fact, the last time I complained, Canaca’s own representative told me to call Geneva.

I have been using these guys for a while and haven’t been charged for any hosting which I didn’t approve. Overall I have been happy with their hosting service.
I did sign up as an affiliate and have had $120 in commission “pending” for a while, but any contact I make with them regarding it goes unanswered. Unfortunately my hosting is paid into 2009, but at that time I will be looking for a new hosting company.

Paul, thank you for your feedback. They owed me about $400 US in commission, and paid out nothing. I strongly advise against all unethical companies and this company ranks amongst the top ones in my opinion.

It’s a shame that a person can’t join a program on faith.
Anymore, it’s a pure gamble not to research a company’s reviews before deciding whether or not to spend money on them. I just looked up Canaca in Google, and it was getting bad reviews YEARS ago.

Honestly, i wish to say more of what you said over,
Canaca is the worst the response you immediately one you paid, and when you ask for help or support no one helps, all your websites going to be off and down forever and the funny thing, they have their emergency over their website, when you call them no one answers….
i really wish if we can work to remove that company !
Thanks all
